About Us
CrossFit Islander is a 3000 square foot health and fitness center located in Donovan's Business Park.
We are not your typical large fitness center that you may have had experience with in the past. At CrossFit Islander there are no mirrors, no machines, no magazines, no treadmills and certainly no TVs! Instead, you will find pull-up bars, kettlebells, barbells, dumbbells, skipping ropes, and plenty of space for running, jumping, lunging, squatting, climbing, lifting and throwing.
We teach, develop and instill a deep appreciation for fitness and nutrition for everyday healthy living. It doesn’t matter who you are or what level of physical conditioning you possess – everyone is welcome at CrossFit Islander (students, seniors, elite athletes, stay-at-home moms, business executives, etc.)
At CrossFit Islander, our aim is to develop a community of supportive and inspired individuals who are seeking a rewarding and total health experience. To achieve this, we go back to the fundamental basics of functional movement to help our members achieve total physical health. At the same time, we assist each and every member in taking control of other aspects of their lives, including diet, nutrition, and overall well-being. This is all achieved in a fun, engaging and non-threatening environment.
At CrossFit Islander, we firmly believe that fitness has to be fun. CrossFit is not only challenging and effective, but it is also enjoyable. If a fitness program is not enjoyable, most people are not going to stick with it. Without motivation and encouragement, many fitness endeavors fail. At CrossFit Islander we provide a fun, non-threatening and interactive fitness environment that allows each member to use the entire body, and muscles you thought you never had, to explore the endless enjoyable possibilities that functional fitness provides. The relaxing atmosphere, non-threatening environment and camaraderie that exist at CrossFit Islander will all combine to help you achieve every one of your tangible fitness goals.
